USCMO Urges Support for Federal Employees Affected by Shutdown

USCMO calls upon the American Muslim community in every city and state to raise funds and host appreciation events to express our nation’s gratitude for federal employees continuing to work (without pay) to keep America Great!

We support our federal employees during this difficult time, and we stand in solidarity with them. The USCMO urges the President to put America first and resolve the issue quickly. The partial government shutdown is causing massive problems among those who just want to get on with their lives. For many employees, it’s a distressing situation that’s totally out of their control. Nearly 800,000 federal workers are unsure of when they will get another paycheck.

The financial hardship imposed by the shutdown has triggered numerous problems. Thousands of federal workers have filed for unemployment benefits as countless others are finding it difficult to make rent, pay their mortgage, or buy food.

The Muslim community commiserates with the federal employees, and we stand with our fellow Americans during this trying time of uncertainty, banding together to ease the burden caused by this historic government shutdown.
