(Washington, D.C., 12/8/2025) — The US Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO), the nation’s umbrella group of Muslim associations, congratulates the Syrian people, community, and Muslim world on a year of liberation from 53 years of brutal tyranny.
We commend the Syrians, at home and in refuge abroad, for their more than five decades of perseverance and struggle for freedom amid grievous loss and at great cost.
We pray for Syria’s sovereign integrity and territorial restoration of the entire country, including its native Golan Heights, the end of foreign interference and military presence in the nation, unity and security for all Syria’s historically diverse communities, and strengthening bonds between the peoples and nations of the entire Middle East and the world.
We ask God to shower beloved Syria and its people with His mercy, to protect its blessed lands, and to guide the people and its leaders altogether upon the pathways of peace.
