Stop the Genocide. Ban Land Expropriation. Embargo All Arms to Israel
(WASHINGTON, D.C. – 5/15/2026) – The US Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO), America’s umbrella group of national and local Muslim associations, marked Nakba Day – the 78th year since the start of ‘The Catastrophe’ in Palestine with the violent Israeli expulsion and dispossession of 800,000 Palestinians from their land and homes on 15 May 1948 – with this message to the U.S. Administration, our Representatives, and the American people:
It is long past time our nation stops paying for, arming, and abetting the unequaled twin Israeli savageries of their ongoing genocide, slaughter, and displacement of the Palestinian people; and their unlawful expropriation of the Palestinian peoples’ properties and land.

Mr. President, Senators, and Representatives:
The Nakba cannot be looked at as one day in the past. It has not stopped, even for a day, in 78 years, and it shows no sign of ending any day soon.
On the contrary, we now see unmistakably that the Nakba is not a stationary event in history. It is a living, cultivated Zionist ideal, an Israeli way of life.
We see it in the ongoing Gaza genocide and the utterly gleeful Israeli destruction of it.
We see it in the spreading ‘Gazafication’ of Lebanon.
We see it in the continued coercion of this disastrous U.S.-Israeli war of choice on Iran.
And now the world begins to see what the people of the region – Muslims, Christians, and of every ethnicity – have understood all along:
Gaza ‘is’ Zionism, Zionism as it was founded to be, a virulent ethno-ultra-nationalist ideology. It is the project of Greater Israel unleashed.
Zionism sees and believes in only two kinds of people in the Middle East: a master race of Jews and a vermin species of Amalekites. It is the function and goal of the former not only to exterminate the latter but to wholly efface their traces from the earth.
The U.S. Government and the American people can no longer fund, arm, and diplomatically support this 19th-century supremacist racial ideology of perpetual Nakba that constitutes the Israeli nation and vision.
Nor can or should our government immorally continue to compel “We the people” into subservience to this self-appointed master race, nor force us on pain of state persecution to pay tribute to this foreign entity, to impose on us a compulsory levy that becomes the means by which the Zionist apparatus executes its vision of ascendancy and annihilation over the peoples, the nations, and the geography of the Middle East.
It is high time we obey our own laws and invoke our own principles and put America first, not some alien ideology.
Mr. President, Senators, and Representatives:
Stop this spreading genocide.
Block this Israeli rampage of killing and destruction throughout the Middle East
Embargo all arms to the Israeli war machine.
Return the properties and land of the Palestinians to them.
Support the Palestinian right of return to their homes
This is the American way.
