Dr. Deana Helmy, LMFT, MBA, Ed.D.

Dr. Deana Helmy is a licensed marriage and family therapist, organizational leader, and dynamic speaker dedicated to cultivating resilience, identity, and leadership in individuals and communities. She serves as the Chairwoman of the Islamic Shura Council of Southern California—the first woman elected to lead the region’s umbrella body for masajid and nonprofits. Professionally, she is the Ethnic Services Manager for Orange County Behavioral Health Services, advancing equity and cultural responsiveness, and serves as the Director of Counseling Services at ICNA Relief’s Crescent Counseling Services. Holding a doctorate in Organizational Change and Administration, she integrates Positive Psychology and faith-based frameworks to inspire growth, connection, and purpose. Her workshops are known for their experiential, heart-centered approach that empowers participants to lead authentically and transform their communities.
