USCMO meets UN-OCHA officials discusses Rohingya refugees

Following the UN General Assembly regular session in September 2017, USCMO officials arranged a meeting between American Muslim relief organizations and Ms. Mervat Shelbaya of OCHA to discuss past and future relief efforts for the Rohingya crisis. She commended USCMO on behalf of OCHA for its initiatives and praised the relief organizations for their tireless work for the Rohingya people, vowing to work closely with both on refugee issues. All parties agreed to future meetings and to cooperate in addressing the Rohingya humanitarian catastrophe.
