USCMO Applauds Law Enforcement for their Quick Apprehension of Terror Perpetrator
(Washington, D.C., 9/19/2016)- The US Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO), the largest coalition of leading national and local Muslim organizations, applauds law enforcement for their quick apprehension of the perpetrator responsible for terror attacks in New York and New Jersey over the weekend. USCMO condemns all such acts of violence in New York, New Jersey, and Minnesota as intolerable and anti-Islamic.
On Saturday a bombing took place in Seaside Park, New Jersey, as well as in New York’s Chelsea Neighborhood that wounded 29 people. That same day a man stabbed 9 people in a Minnesota Mall and was subsequently shot and killed by police.
USCMO sends its heartfelt condolences to all those injured in the attacks and wishes them a speedy recovery. We urge the American community to come together in solidarity against the hatred these attackers wish to inspire and to promote peace and harmony throughout our communities.
