(Washington, D.C., 6/14/2025) – The US Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO), the nation’s umbrella group of Muslim associations, today condemned the Israeli apartheid government’s lawless, unprovoked and criminal war on Iran, which has killed dozens of Iranian civilians, threatens to spark a nuclear catastrophe and risks pulling the United States into another unnecessary Middle East war.
USCMO also today called on President Trump to end U.S. complicity in the war and refuse to let the Netanyahu regime drag the United States into further supporting its relentless warmongering in the Middle East.
USCMO Secretary General Oussama Jammal said today in a statement:
“The Israeli government’s Illegal, unnecessary and unprovoked war on Iran is just the latest example of its relentless violence and belligerence, which threatens to entangle the United States in more death and destruction.
“We call on President Trump to reject Netanyahu’s demands for more U.S. involvement in his war and we call on President Trump to demand an immediate end to the attacks that Israel is launching, including against Iranian civilians, using American bombs, American jets and American taxpayer dollars.
“Let’s be clear. What we are seeing today echoes the lies that led to the Iraq war. Just as Iraq did not have WMDs, Iran does not have nuclear weapons, was not making nuclear weapons, and was at the negotiating table ready to commit to limiting its uranium enrichment to the amount that can only be used for civilian purposes.
“Instead of making a deal and avoiding another unnecessary war, President Trump has enabled Netanyahu’s latest war crimes.
“The U.S.’s blind support for the Israeli government’s persecution of the Palestinian people and Israel’s unbroken history of warmongering across the region has never brought about, and will never bring about, anything good for our nation.
“The Israeli government’s aggression does nothing but engender deep hostility against it and perpetual nonacceptance in the region. Are Israelis safer now – after 75 years of continuous persecution of the Palestinians and bullying the nations in the region – than at any time in their history? Quite the opposite.
“The Israeli government is committed to self-destructive madness – and the American government must stop blindly following this foreign nation into the abyss.”
USCMO urges President Trump to cut off support for this Israeli war of aggression and not allow Americans to be dragged into yet another costly and capricious foreign nation’s warmongering madness.
