Novermber 8, 2017: USCMO Secretary Genera Oussama Jammal and members of USCMO met with Malaysian Ambassador Zullhasanan Rafique and Minister Counselor Murni Abdul Hamid to discuss the on-going Rohingya humanitarian crisis. USCMO thanked Malaysia for their strong support of the Rohingya people through their various relief efforts and for their political campaign with the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN),calling on ASEAN to coordinate greater aid for Myanmar’s Rohingya. Ambassador Rafique explained his government’s efforts to provide further humanitarian assistance and to give international political standing to the Rohingya to reverse their ethnic cleansing.
